SHOWER THOUGHTS

WITH Zoë Johnston
Zoë Johnston is the founder of Spilt Milk Collective, a full-service production company focusing on the edible and experiential.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU FELT INSPIRED?

These pink champagne currants from the farmer's market my god.

WHAT DO YOU VALUE THE MOST ABOUT YOURSELF AND WHY?

My metabolism and lack of dietary restrictions.

WHAT'S ONE THING YOU THINK OTHER PEOPLE OVERVALUE?

Happiness and working hard/hustling. I think there's a time and a place for pushing yourself but it's just as worthwhile to sit in the slowness and feel your feelings.

WHAT DOES THE WORD 'WELLBEING' MEAN TO YOU?

It's all encompassing, encapsulating the cyclical nature of well-being, I'm learning to place less value on becoming a peak version of myself and leaning more on valuing the natural ebbs and flows of who I am.

WHAT IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH WATER?

Love her. I grew up on the coast in Maine near the ocean and always have felt really grounded near and in water.

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT YOUR DAILY ROUTINE, WHAT WOULD THAT BE?

Colder shower water. Daily sauna.

WHAT WOULD YOUR STARTER PACK INCLUDE?

Cold shower. Microplane. Tweefontein Iced Herbal Teas. The YMCA. Ice cream truck ice cream. Tinned mussels. Alessi 9091 Tea Kettle. My black cowboy boots.

HAVE YOU HAD ANY INTERESTING SHOWER THOUGHTS LATELY?

No. Showering is my disassociation time I love it.
