I felt inspired early yesterday morning. It was a Friday and the air was cool.
I’ve grown to appreciate how optimistic I can be. I have always had such a belief in myself, a determination, and sureness. As I am now a mother, and constantly transforming, this quality helps me stay confident and connected to my instincts. I’m an ambitious person who likes to get things done, and a big dreamer. Wherever I find myself, I will make it successful and beautiful. And when it is time to rethink things or change, I’m ready for the new.
Myriad things, actually. I think people overvalue products, when they only need about half of those things but of a higher quality.
This is a phrase I’m actually fond of because of how all-encompassing it is. I think of spiritual well-being, physical well-being, emotional well-being. Well-being for me is facilitating my journey towards abundance and love with every choice and action.
I’m a water sign. I was raised at the beach. I am close to water and I have a deep appreciation for it. I know it’s alive, that it makes up a majority of the human body, and that anything can change its structure. I drink only distilled or filtered, structured mineral water or alkaline water out of glass. I teach my daughter the importance of cooking in clean water, bathing in it, and of course drinking it. Water is so sacred and knowing how to acquire clean water is invaluable.
I’d probably start every day with a quick meal, tea, and go straight into painting, writing, or sculpting. It isn’t always possible but that would be the ideal way to start the day for me.
A handful of books such as, “Nourishing Traditions” or “Play it as it lays,” by Joan Didion, a few films like “Dressed to Kill” by Brian de Palma, some vinyl records like T-Rex “Electric Warrior,” a wide range of clothing to adapt for any occasion (Prada, Chanel, Bode, The Row) —and undoubtably a canvas, Golden brand acrylic paint, and a wood paint palette.
Well, I’m currently four months pregnant, so my shower thoughts lately are mostly about my growing body. Life has been so fruitful and it feels like this is just the beginning. I’m a big dreamer so showers are a great place to picture it all.
